JAKARTA – The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) continues to accelerate village development through strategic cross-sectoral collaborations.
On Thursday (August 20, 2026), Kemendes PDT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreements (PKS) with PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) and the Educare Smart Serbaindo Foundation (YESS).
Secretary-General of Kemendes PDT, Taufik Madjid, emphasized that multi-stakeholder partnerships are vital to sustaining development momentum across rural Indonesia.
"Indonesia encompasses 75,266 villages. Consequently, Kemendes PDT requires strategic partnerships to ensure village development progresses continuously," Secretary-General Taufik stated.
He added that the Minister of Villages expects the signed MoUs and Cooperation Agreements to be promptly followed by concrete execution on the ground. Actionable implementation is crucial to achieving the core objective of these agreements: fostering village development that directly elevates community welfare.
