JAKARTA – The Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes PDT), Yandri Susanto, inaugurated Masyhudi as the Inspector General of the Ministry in Jakarta, Monday (Feb 23, 2026). On this occasion, Minister Yandri emphasized the importance of strengthening internal oversight functions to ensure all ministerial programs run effectively, transparently, and accountably.
The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony were held in conjunction with the signing of performance agreements and integrity pacts for Senior Executive Officers (Pimpinan Tinggi Madya) and Administrative Officials within the Ministry.
According to Minister Yandri, this momentum is a strategic step toward strengthening good governance, specifically in the field of village and disadvantaged regional development.
"We need great and strong oversight at the Ministry. We have many villages, the Village Fund is substantial, and we have the Merah Putih Village Cooperative program. Today, the President's programs are targeted directly at villages. The Deputy Minister and I ask for your support to continue doing our best within this Ministry," said Minister Yandri during the event, which was also attended by Deputy Minister Ahmad Riza Patria.
He emphasized that the large budget of the Village Fund and the numerous strategic government programs targeting the village level demand an increasingly solid oversight system. With strong supervision, it is hoped that potential irregularities can be prevented early while increasing public trust in the management of funds and village development programs.
Masyhudi, as the newly appointed Inspector General, is expected to strengthen audit, evaluation, and comprehensive internal oversight functions. Minister Yandri also requested all ranks within the Ministry to support the Inspectorate General’s duties in ensuring that every policy and program truly benefits village communities throughout Indonesia.
"The Ministry has many tasks assigned by the President under the 6th point of Asta Cita (the President's Eight Strategic Visions). Therefore, we need a compact team, togetherness, and harmony from all of us. Time is running, and responsibilities await. To fulfill these obligations, we need sincerity of heart," he said.
Furthermore, Minister Yandri ensured that all mechanisms operate openly and are free from illegal levies (extortion). According to him, strict joint supervision is conducted to guarantee there are no loopholes for the abuse of authority.
This message serves as a strong emphasis for all ranks to maintain professionalism and uphold the principles of clean governance. Minister Yandri hopes that the newly inaugurated officials can carry out their mandates with full responsibility and avoid any practices that undermine public trust.
