CILEGON – The Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes PDT), Yandri Susanto, opened the Al-Khairiyah Ramadan Outreach (Syiar Ramadhan Al-Khairiyah/Syiramah) at the Al-Khairiyah Citangkil Foundation, Cilegon, Saturday (Feb 28, 2026).
Minister Yandri stated that Al-Khairiyah feels like home to him, as he has always received support and prayers from the Al-Khairiyah Executive Board (PB Al-Khairiyah).
"I am happy and proud to be here in Citangkil," said Minister Yandri.
The Minister invited Al-Khairiyah to collaborate in developing 75,266 villages through priority programs such as the Export Village initiative.
"We are creating many young entrepreneurs, so now people from villages can export directly," said Minister Yandri, further explaining that Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) are also currently capable of conducting export activities.
Minister Yandri noted that there are more than 1,000 villages in Banten. Therefore, he hopes Al-Khairiyah can establish "Fostered Villages" (Desa Binaan) in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages and PDT.
In the future, Yandri added, Al-Khairiyah students and alumni could be invited to become exporters or developers of Tourism Villages and Thematic Villages.
These Thematic Villages are closely linked to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, as they will serve as raw material suppliers for the initiative, which currently serves more than 60 million beneficiaries.
Minister Yandri hoped that Al-Khairiyah would remain consistent (istiqomah) in conducting its Ramadan outreach by deploying its students to various local mosques.
"I pray that the Al-Khairiyah family, especially the students, will become great and successful individuals in this life and the hereafter," said Minister Yandri.
Also in attendance were the Governor of Banten, Andra Soni; Deputy Mayor of Cilegon, Fajar Hadi Prabowo; General Chairman of PB Al-Khairiyah, KH Ali Mujahidin; Chairman of the Shura Council, KH Mansyur Muchyiddin; Rector of Al-Khairiyah University, Dr. Rafiuddin; Secretary-General of PB Al-Khairiyah, H. Ahmad Munji; the Cilegon Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda); and Al-Khairiyah students.
Accompanying Minister Yandri were the Head of BPSDM, Agustomi Masik, and Senior Advisor to the Minister, Sugito.
