JAKARTA — The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining accountability and effectiveness in state spending through the Evaluation Meeting on Improving Central Government Spending Quality for Quarter IV of 2026 alongside the Development Finance Comptroller (Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan / BPKP) at the Kemendes PDT Office Meeting Room, Jakarta, on Thursday (October 15, 2026).
This proactive measure was undertaken to ensure that every budget allocation delivers an optimal impact on national development and economic recovery for rural communities. According to the ministry's presentation, Kemendes PDT's budget execution performance recorded positive achievements, evidenced by a high Budget Execution Performance Indicator (Indikator Kinerja Pelaksanaan Anggaran / IKPA) score reaching 92.65. Meanwhile, overall budget absorption stood at 67.2 percent, reflecting a remaining gap against the Fund Withdrawal Plan (Rencana Penarikan Dana / RPD) due to budget top-ups for the Sumatra Post-Disaster Recovery and Reconstruction Program (PRRP) under the Directorate General of PDT Development (Ditjen PDP) and TEKAD top-ups under the Directorate General of Village Economic Development and Investment (Ditjen PEI).
As a demonstration of transparency, Kemendes PDT and BPKP openly identified various dynamic field challenges to accelerate budget disbursement during the remainder of the fiscal year. Acceleration efforts are focused on strategic community programs, such as additional budget allocations for the Integrated Village Economic Transformation (TEKAD) program under Ditjen PEI, alongside accelerating physical assistance for the Post-Disaster Recovery and Reconstruction (PRRP) program in Sumatra under Ditjen PDP.
The ministry is also placing significant focus on the efficiency of the village assistance program, which manages a budget of up to IDR 1.2 trillion, as well as direct assistance disbursements to villages. Restructuring measures and in-depth evaluations continue to be executed to ensure that unused assistance fund allocations are re-optimized to safeguard spending efficiency and financial governance accountability.
Through synergy with BPKP, Kemendes PDT remains optimistic in mapping targeted acceleration steps ahead of the fiscal year-end. Measured technical reviews will proceed starting next week alongside all Echelon I Work Units (UKE I) to ensure that all priority village development programs are fully realized, highly efficient, and deliver tangible benefits to the public.
