JAKARTA – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT), Taufik Madjid, expressed his appreciation for the Ministry’s collaboration with PT Mojo Indonesia Raya in helping reduce youth unemployment across many rural areas in Indonesia.
According to him, PT Mojo Indonesia Raya has concretely proven its ability to facilitate vocational training and the placement of professional workers abroad on a sustainable basis, particularly to Japan.
"This partnership with PT Mojo Indonesia Raya is immensely helpful to us, especially for the youth in rural areas, particularly in nearby regions such as West Java," stated Secretary-General Taufik while receiving an audience from PT Mojo Indonesia Raya regarding the send-off of Indonesian migrant workers to Japan, held at the Executive Room of the Kemendes PDT Office, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (July 22, 2026).
Broadly speaking, Secretary-General Taufik added that Kemendes PDT will continue to support and intensify public outreach alongside data collection on youth unemployment across various villages, utilizing tools such as the "12 Strategic Actions to Build Villages, Build Indonesia."
This initiative is deemed in line with President Prabowo's Asta Cita vision, which tasks the central government with positioning villages as central hubs of development and empowerment through the strengthening of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) across all corners of Indonesia.
"We stand fully ready to assist, facilitate, socialize, and provide information as well as access for communities in rural areas, including those in disadvantaged regions, which forms one of our primary duties at the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions," he concluded.
The audience was also attended by Special Staff to the Minister Andi Rahma, Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Agustomi Masik, and Director General for the Development of Disadvantaged Regions (PPDT) Samsul Widodo.
