JAKARTA – The Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes PDT), Yandri Susanto, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Head of the Special Agency for Development Control and Investment (BAPPISUS), Aris Marsudiyanto, at the BAPPISUS office in Jakarta on Monday (March 10, 2026).
Through the signing of this MoU, both institutions committed to synergizing in support of development control programs in villages and disadvantaged regions, as well as safeguarding all existing village potentials.
In his statement, Minister Yandri Susanto noted that the Ministry of Villages and BAPPISUS will collaborate and synchronize their strengths to oversee potentials in villages throughout Indonesia. He emphasized that collaboration is the ultimate key to maximizing these resources.
He believes that President Prabowo’s 6th Asta Cita—building from the villages and the grassroots to achieve economic equality and poverty eradication—will be successful if executed through collaboration.
"We discussed how to prioritize collaboration in accordance with the President's direction. We are not Supermen, but a Super Team. This is especially vital given the President's 6th Asta Cita," said Minister Yandri.
"We want to synergize all forces because BAPPISUS plays a very strategic and important role. We have signed the MoU to safeguard every potential within our villages," he added.
To translate President Prabowo Subianto's 6th Asta Cita into action, the Ministry of Villages has established "12 Actions to Build Villages, Build Indonesia," which includes Export Villages, Tourism Villages, and Thematic Villages. Other key programs include Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives.
Minister Yandri further explained that the Ministry cannot work in isolation; cross-sector collaboration is essential. He stated that the constructive support and advice from the Head of BAPPISUS will serve as a vital asset for the Ministry to continue its tireless efforts.
"This collaboration will increase our momentum to revitalize village potentials. On behalf of the Ministry, I thank Mr. Aris Marsudiyanto and his team. We feel a surge of extraordinary energy to continue safeguarding President Prabowo Subianto's programs," Minister Yandri expressed.
Meanwhile, the Head of BAPPISUS, Aris Marsudiyanto, stated that his agency will continue to assist all Ministries and Agencies that may require input or support regarding inter-institutional coordination.
According to him, collaboration, unity, and synergy across Ministries and Agencies will become a unique strength in the effort to advance the Indonesian nation.
"In principle, we are fighting together to build this nation. The more synergy and unity we have, the stronger the nation will be. Our nation is rich; without unity among the leadership, it would be impossible for this nation to progress," said Aris Marsudiyanto.
Accompanying Minister Yandri at the event were Deputy Minister Ariza Patria; Secretary-General Taufik Madjid; Inspector General Masyhudi; Director General of PEID Tabrani; Director General of PDP Nugroho Setijo Nagoro; Director General of PPDT Samsul Widodo; Head of BPSDM Agustomi Masik; and Head of BPI Mulyadin Malik.
