JAKARTA – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT), Taufik Madjid, led a coordination meeting and breakfast gathering for Secretariat-General personnel at the Ministry's Operational Room, Jakarta, on Monday (July 20, 2026).
The coordination meeting was convened to strengthen performance planning, elevate public service delivery, and conduct evaluations regarding ongoing programs within the Secretariat-General of the Ministry of Villages and PDT.
In his opening remarks, Secretary-General Taufik Madjid emphasized that the effective execution of duties and functions within the Secretariat-General plays a highly critical role in supporting overall ministerial governance.
According to him, the Secretariat-General serves not only to handle basic administrative services, but also to ensure that governance and management across Echelon II working units operate effectively and seamlessly.
"The function of the Secretariat-General is supportive—it serves leadership operations, ensures public relations run smoothly, and guarantees excellent management of human resources, legal affairs, regulatory drafting, and beyond," Secretary-General Taufik stated.
Consequently, he called upon all personnel within the Secretariat-General to continuously adhere to the principles of good governance and the core values of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN BerAKHLAK) while carrying out their duties at the Ministry.
Furthermore, he urged all employees to align their vision and foster team collaboration, echoing the frequent guidance of the Minister of Villages and PDT (Mendes PDT) that the institution operates not as a "Superman," but as a "Super Team."
"There are many tasks we must accomplish together. Let us continue working in unity. Even if our budget is limited, our spirit, minds, and ideas must never be constrained," Secretary-General Taufik added.
The event was attended by Special Staff to the Minister Andi Rahma, Senior Advisor to the Minister Sugito, alongside all Bureau Chiefs and personnel within the Secretariat-General of the Ministry of Villages and PDT.
